David Masters | The Tom Watson Award for Courage
Sergeant David Masters of Omaha, Neb. bravely fought for our country only to return home to wage another battle against Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Lou Gehrig’s Disease cut Masters’ military career short when he was just 32 years old and he has courageously been battling ALS since his return home from deployment overseas.
David Watkins | The George Brett Award for Committment
As one of the original directors of The ALS Association, David Watkins has been committed to finding a cure and serving the chapter for 27+ years. David's involvement with the chapter began as he fundraised for his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, during college and has evolved ever since.
