The Joe McGuff ALS Golf Classic

Monday, May 8, 2023

Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate

The annual ALS golf tournament originated in 1983 by former Royals player and Baseball Hall of Famer George Brett. When the tournament began it was known as the George Brett Celebrity Golf Classic. This premier tournament was renamed in honor of the great Kansas City sports writer Joe McGuff in 2003, and has continued the tradition of an exciting event designed to entertain its guests while raising much-needed funds for research and care services.

To honor the original efforts of George and to celebrate 40 years of the tournament, celebrity participation is once again a focus of the tournament. Each foursome will enjoy lunch on the course, golf with a celebrity or Midwest PGA pro as the fifth player and a voucher for the on-site golf concept shop. After golf enjoy dinner and the celebrity fireside chat.
